Keeping busy was the motto for this year's Student Council. They. were much in keeping with the times, as for the second consecutive year a young woman presided as president. Among their major activities was the 1978 A.S.B. Workshop, a 1950's Dress-Up Day, and a faculty Christmas Party. They also sponsored a number of assemblies which included opera, mod- ern dance, a gymnist, and a magic show. 715% of the student body bought A.S.B. activity cards, the greatest amount ever sold; and nearly $250 was collected for the Carlsbad Christmas Bureau. Many of these achievements can be attributed to the tremendous attitude and spirit of the student body, said a council spokesman. Pictured on the facing page is Pep Commission- er, Wendy Beghtol; PRESIDENT, Susan Delgado; Vice-President, Kathy Carmichael; Boys' Athletic Commissioner, Jim Carpenter; (sitting) Advisor, Joe De ; Commissioner of the H ouse, Marie All- mon; Girls’ Athletic Commissioner, Martha Hodges.
