Carlmont Administration Principal Ivan Griffin is a man with many duties, including attending such meetings as the principals ' conference, the administrative council, the faculty meetings and the curriculum meetings. He frequently confers with district leaders and community organizations, and works with the counselors and faculty. Tensions of his job resulted in an operation last fall, and Carlmont missed his expert guidance for some time. PRINCIPAL IVAN GRIFFIN Registrar Oliver Pete Eitzen spent his busiest year since Carl- mont opened working on the distribution of over 130 unex- pected students and the new quarterly grading system. Handling the disciplinary pro- blems and counseling girls was the biggest job of Mrs. Elsie DeBois, vice principal and dean of girls. She was adviser to Big Sisters and assisted Mr. Griffin at executive board meetings. Francis Ferry, vice-principal and dean of boys, has his fun supervising athletic competition, but his fun is followed by the hard work of handling discipline and attendance problems. 8
