It Is natural enough that a book should symbolize the efforts and spirit of our school since books have Inspired all of us at one time or another. the class of ' 56 has been mindful of profiting from the experience of those going before them and have emulated the class of ' 55, the first class to be graduated from carlmont, and have succeeded in keeping the fine spirit and wholesome endeavor that should continue to be the trade- mark of carlmont students. may your way be lighted by the brilliant memories evoked in this book, class of ' 56, proud we are of your attainment; proud we would have you be of your part in creating carlmont.
