iiflRfe. ' ' BOARD III FINANCE xr Around Carlmont there is a small but mighty group who undertakes the large responsibility of handlingall studentbody monies. Most of Carlmont ' s ,- ,jv student clubs and organizations bank their money with the finance board. The members of the board keep books, bank money, and prepare state- ments. Besides these many jobs the board handles ticket sales for numerous Carlmont school-wide events. This group has done a fine job under the direction of Nancy Owens Com- missioner, and Mr. Worthington, their Advisor. We studentsof Carlmont do not realize the importance of this group. COMMISSIONER NANCY OWENS FINANCEBOARD--BACKROW(L. TOR.): MAURINE SMOTHERS , MR. WORTHINGTON, JANET GALE. FRONT ROW: KAREN PETERSON, NANCY OWENS. CON STITUTI1IM KEVISIOM COMMITTEE The Constitution Revision Committee revised the rough draft of Carlmont ' s Constitution to something workable. This committee should be congratulated for the fact that the Consti- tution Is practical and useful in day to day situations. BACK ROW a. TO R.): GRETCHEN REYNOLDS, ROSS DUNN, FRONTROW(L. The group consisted of those who worked on the paper last year, and those who were registered in the journalism class for the year 1953- 54. At that time, Mr. Meltzer, this year ' s advisor was introduced, as well as the present Editor-in- Chief, Pete Kuehl. Since the only organized jour- nalism class was that of cub repor- ters, the paper was edited by vol- unteers who had also worked on the Carlmonitor in 1952-53. This year the Carlmonitor pub- lished fifteen issues.
