He attended the Georgia College in Milledgeville and graduated from the Mercer Universiqf Law 8chool with an LL.B degree in 1902, beginning the practice oflaw June of that year Vinson 's appointment as Baldwin Counbf Drosecutor in 1904 began a career ol' more than 60 consecutive years ofserwce in public oice. In 1909, he was elected to the Georgia 8tate Assemby serving there until gb 1912.
