An emotional experience l'll never forget. Anytown, a program set up for high school students to learn more about themselves and others consists of seminars, exercises, and activities, to cope with problems such as prejudice, selfishness, and being opinionated about others. Anytown offers six summer sessions that take place at three different locations Tuscon, Skyway camp south of Prescott, and Mingus Mountain north of Prescott. Students are selected to attend Anytown at the end of the school year. Popularity or grades, does not affect the chance of those who apply. Screen tests of applicants are done by Mr. Madrid who chooses the students he feels it will benefit the most. Three hundred students from all over the state attend the camp. Carl Hayden along with other schools are only allowed to send 6 to 10 students. The cost is 170 dollars for one week which includes room and board, Anytown-not just anytown but a one week tutored society that could help you answer your own questions. as .Q Y N .. . 13

l Dedication The 1988 Statesman Staff would like to dedicate the Yearbook to Mrs. Elinor White. For two years she put up with us coming in on Saturdays, to meet deadlines, blaring radios, gossiping, and partying. We want her to know that without her there to motivate us we would have never done our jobs. It was very difficult with a new adviser this year, but we managed to put the 1988 book together. We will never forget all those fun times we had in the class and we hope you won't either. Without your help we wouldn't have won the three awards ttwo second-place plaques and one third- place plaquel for last yearls Statesman Yearbook. Thank you for your contribution to the Yearbook. WE LOVE YOU! mia Mrs. White and Mrs. Bow proudly display the plaques for last year's Yearbook. v 12 Dedication
