"I remember when Carden Hall opened with
fifty-seven students. By Thanksgiving of
that year there were ninety. We had our
first Christmas Program at the Zonta Club.
Our Christmas tree was in the entrance of
the school Iwhich later became a class-
roornj, and We each made a thought-gift
decoration and hung it on the tree. "
"I remember the pollywog stream Where
we used to catch pollywogs with paper cups
during recess. Mrs. Blunk used to lean out
the Window and ring a bell to call us in,
and We used to clomp up the stairs as
loudly as we could."
"I remember the old green house with its
converted garage. The junior Primary
students used to take naps upstairs and
listen to the First Graders downstairs.
When the man behind the school would for-
get and leave his sprinklers running, the
First Grade classroom would flood, and
We would have to put towels at the door.We
had a friendly mouse in the classroom too. "

"l remember when we all got
on a school bus and went over
to the new school site. Can
you believe it? We all fit on
one busl We had an assembly,
and each student placed a
shovelfull of dirt on the
foundation area with a good
thought on which to build. "
When we moved in September,
1965, there were nineteen
teachers and fifteen class-
rooms. So much space! We
even had a room we could
call a Conference Room
nearly all year.
"I remember the first day of
school in the new building.
We lined up for assembly
facing the wrong way. We
faced the building instead of
Senior Lawn. "
