Both home and away the junior Varsity Cheerleaders aroused spirit in support of the Junior Varsity basketball and football teams. Miss Strack, their sponsor, spent long hours with the girls, trying to prove that practice makes per- fect. Vickie Shacklee served as captain. Mrs. Kaplan sponsored the freshman cheerleaders as they backed their football and basketball teams by radiating pep, enthusiasm, and spirit in the Freshman class. Mary jane Zimmer was electec their captain. VAIZQHY E128 The exuberant Varsity Cheerleaders were a familiar and welcome addition to Terrier football and basket- ball games. Headed by Captain Sandy Smith the Cheerleaders not only supported the teams at the games but also promoted school spirit in many exciting pep assemblies. They attended a summer workshop in Texas and were awarded the .gbirit stick for their accomplishments. Also included in their activities was a successful summer workshop which they sponsored for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. FRONT ROW: Linda Stocks, Kathy Coracy, Terry Tolle SECOND ROW: Tammy King, Barbie Holcomb. The Wrestling cheerleaders, with their pep and enthusiasm, helped to bring wrestling to a primary position at C.C.H.S. By promoting the meets through posters and by encouraging and cheering for wrestlers they certainly did their part in providing a successful season. IL4 .1
