Published by the Dial Staff of Community High School, Carbondale, Illinois lhe entrances to Carbondale Community lligh School were used constantly during the school year. ln the course ol' an average day at C.C.Il.S., live hundred and eighty two students and thrityflive faculty members spent more than seven hours in our building -teaching, learning, working, and planning. On the day of a football or basketball game, we enjoyed cheer- ing for the Terriers at the pep rally which was held the last part of seventh hour. Assemblies were always an extra in the school day and were welcomed by students and faculty. Due to the increased number of students, two lunch hours were in operation and we looked forward to meeting our friends in the cafeteria either fourth or fifth hour. f, S W l Y J . li la, it P if Our school was a busy place at night, too. Sex- eral clubs held regular evening meetings in addition to those held during the activity period. Play re- hersals and activities of stage and lighting crews meant long hours at night. The Student Council members and the Juniors worked long hours to make those evenings memorable. Day and night, C.C.ll.S. occupied our thoughts and our time.
