Ourslanding for four years-in loorball, baskelball, and lrack, he achieved srale acknowledgmenl in all lhree. Besides being chosen all-conference in bolh baskelball and loolball he was a member of lhe Second All-Slare Eleven and look parl in lhe slare finals in baskelball as well as vaulling in The lrack finals of 'rhe srafe. In golf Dulch was also a winner. 'raking lirsr in lhe sec+ional and placing in The finals al' Bloomingron. GENE PAUL CRAWSHAW As a sophomore and a beginner in our school Gene made a lelrler in foolball during his lirsl year. Since 'rhal lime he earned and held a place on every one of our reams. Gene was one of Jrhe very 'lew alhleles in our conference who had rhree championship lelrers ro his credir in foofball and rwo in baskelball. As lrack man lewiexcelled him in his 440 runs or in his olher enlries. RAYMOND ELLIS Susie was up . . . Susie was conslanr . . . Susie always came 'lhrough and here is Susie, again on lop. Ellis was also an assislanl in our Physical Educa+ion Deparfmenf. Raymond was also oulsranding as a member of Jrhe Cily League Sollball Team. Taking an aclive parf in high school sporls. he won rhree major lelrers and hon- orable menlion in loolball his junior year. He played on four conference-winning loorball +eams, Jrhe lasjr serring a new slare scoring record, and on 'rwo conference baskelball reams which ranked in The srale finals. AT any rafe, our boys learn To TighT TogeTher, To work TogeTher, and To play TogeTher and This evenT emphasizes The laTTer. A During The pasT Two or Three years our boys have also learned To sing TogeTher, buT one could never guess where They held Their pracTice sessions. especially if The person happened To be a professional musician.
