Being a page editor is not an easy job, as editorial editor, Pat Kenner, feature editor, Sandy Zickep and sports editor, Tom Howard can tell you. Such a job includes doing page make-ups, assigning and writing stories, and proofreading the copy among other things, ' 7 The first issue, the second, the third and then it was the last. Yes, another year of the publication of the Stampede is completed-and a most rewarding one it hos been. Under the advisorship of Coburn Palmer, the Stampede staff added many new features to the paper this year. Pictured at the left is the staff: From L. to R. in the back row are: Tom Howard, Mary Anne Kaylor, Judee Bruce, Kit Ruona, Neil Calhoun, John Moore, Judy Kent and Bob Weinberger. In front are: Carol Ward, Sandy Zicke and Pat Kenner. -L3 Proudly looking at this year's first edition of the Stampede is Coburn Palmer new advisor. Agreeing that it was an excellent issue are editor MaryAnne Kaylor and managing editor, Judee Bruce. Something new! For the first time the beginning iournalism class was able to combine forces with the regular staff. In doing so the cubs were able to gain experience by writing stories and having them published in the paper. As a combination of their efforts, the cubs published the February I4 edition ofthe Stampede.
