Counselors Work With Computer Miss Boulware reviews the records of seniors to make sure they have enough credits to graduate. For the first time Caprock is under a computer system of scheduling. C.H.S. is the only school under this system in Amarillo. Last spring students filled out schedules of what they wished to take in the coming year. The sched- ules were then run through a corn- puter and arranged for each stu- dent. It is the iob of the counselors to straighten out any problems stu- dents face as they attend school. Mr. Mixon and Mr. Nipp discuss plans for senior activi- ties in the coming year. Mr..Nipp reviews some requested schedule changes at the awaiting Conference with him, beginning of the semester. Mr. Nipp's approval is required on all changes. X 'W-M c..,,,.WN Mr. Richard Mixon and Mr. Ger- ald Nipp keep Caprock in top order and serve as friends to the student body. Mr. Mixon, a graduate of the Uni- versity ot Louisiana, was assistant principal of Caprock for two years. This year as principal, his duties in- clude making the morning an- nouncements and coordinating school activities. Mr. Nipp was the baseball coach at Caprock before he became assis- tant principal ot the school. He is a graduate of Southwestern State College and the University ot Texas. Office Stuff Keeps C.H.S. Orderly The office staff of Caprock is in charge of checking attendance, keeping records, withdrawals, and handling secretarial duties needed in the operation of an efficient school. Mrs. Wanda Cross and Mrs. Patsy Huff are in charge of keeping atten- dance and withdrawal records. Mrs. Cross also sponsors the office aides which help with attendance record- ing each period of the day. Mrs. Ernestine Lewis is the regis- trar and secretary. She manages the school fees which are collected and the money from activity card sales. Mrs. Opal Sims is the school nurse. She checks the health rec- ords of students. 1 X 1 Fsfyff' Mrs. Lewis takes time out from counting money for fees to answer the phone. Mrs. Huff and Mrs. Cross go through the daily routine of checking attendance sheets and re- instating students.
