A special nighT pep rally was held before The fooTbaII game wiTh Pampa. A HarvesTer was burned in effigy on The fooTball field afTer The pep rally in The gym. Spring was filled wiTh many ac- TiviTies. During Sadie Hawkin's girls carried boy's books, asked Them for daTes, and Took Them To The Sadie Hawkin's dance. The mosT ouTsTanding evenT, graduaTion, was held May 27 and was followed by The all-nighT parTy. TNNA up for The Longhorns. The Longhorn Spirit Ever Dwells.

' f:-1 Mr. Trader assists Karon Milton with a difficult typing problem. Karon was active in the V.O.E. program. Many Horns, especially seniors, found it necessary to work part time to meet school expenses. Boys worked as grocery sackers and ser- vice station attendants. Girls Worked in department stores and offices. Many students participated in Vo- cational Office Education, Industrial Cooperative Training, or Distributive Education. ln these programs, the students worked half a day and went to school half a day. Cooperative Home Economics and Health Occu- pations were new work programs offered at CHS this year.
