The old man crossed in the twilight dim. The chasm held no fears for him But he paused when he reached the other side And built a bridge to span the tide. “Old man”, said a fellow pilgrim near, “Why waste your time in building liere? Your journey ends with the close of day You never again will pass this way. My friend, I am building this bridge for him.” O William Droragoole Foreword This edition of The Bridge is significant in two ways. Of most importance it is the first one. We hope that as its pages are perused, each student will feel a little closer to his school; and he will be glad to have been here. Secondly, this school is a bridge over which those seeking skills can cross into the areas of job security, better pay, and advancement. The technician and the tradesman can graduate from our school and suddenly be in demand, whereas before, he perhaps had no saleable skill. These graduates and our current students are our greatest assets. It has seen the need for a revision of the constitution and has worked toward that as a principle goal. Student senators and representatives have worked on various other committees that were organized to bring the student body together into a more united spirit. The main difficulty that the student government has faced this year is the apathy toward school unity on the part of many of the students. But in spite of this, our student government association has worked hard for the betterment of our school.
