i. X ' i n .ns tit. N. u-. -..v-- The Comanche golf team stood tight in a very tough league this year. Battling against excellent golf teams in the Century league, the Comanche golf team began league play against the El Modena Vanguards losing to the Vanguards 7-2. The Com- anches played their home games at the Anaheim Hills country club. The golf team was directed by four year veteran Coach Mike Victorson. Canyon depended on Steve Muccillo, john Hartman, Bane Perry, and Alan Watson to demonstrate the Com- anche's talent along the fairway. The team man- aged to dodge many sand traps and sink quite a few putts. All in all, the team played in pretty nice weather throughout the season. Quite a few of the guys turned out admirable scores on several occa- sions. For example, Steve Mussillo scored 65 under a 500 par game against EI Modena. The team also tied last year's league champion, Foothill. The team had an optimistic and enthusiastic outlook through- out their games. Coach Victorson was quoted as saying to be quite honest, both teams really are very good! 1. The varsity golf team: Alan Watson, john Hartman, Steve Muc- cillo, Bane Perry, john Rensha, jim Mclntosh. 2. jV golfer, joel Larson sinks a putt at the eighth hole. 3.
