Canyon's junior varsity cross-country team fin- ished its season winning five consecutive meets. This record shows great hope for next season. Overall, Canyon finished second in the Century League with a record of 12-2. Canyon suffered its only loss early in the season to Foothill. As the sea- son passed, Canyon gained competition experience 5 and looks forward to avenging its opponent next year. - ' Canyon was paced by sophomore Delaine Pierce who was voted Most Valuable Player. Other award winners were: julie Mann, Most Improved and De- laine Pierce, Most Inspirational. Canyon's varsity cross-country team will be over- powering next year with these strong runners. 1. l.V.
