The hardworking members of the journalism staff strive to meet deadlines in putting out publications of the Smoke Signal every three weeks. Composed of 25 zanies, this year's Legend staff has tried to summarize the 1978-79 year as accu- rately as possible. The yearbook class has labored under several liabilities this year including a new ad- visor, Mr. Vince Aleccia, and an almost all-female staff. Despite the setbacks, the staff sat down and started to work. Several individuals who were not in the annual class have made valuable contributions to the yearbook. Michael Yasuda, john Higa, and Ken Robillard lent their considerable photographic talent and Dave Shively heightened the artistic level of the '79 Legend. This year's book reflects the dedication and hard work put in by the staff including an additional 24 pages. With approaching deadlines, the staff in room 403 became chronically chaotic. Beneath all the surface commotion, however, editor-in-chief Teresa Cartwright kept a firm grip and smoothed several rough spots which constantly appeared. 1. The serious job of selecting the right picture is done by Lisa Cartwright and Bill Holley. 2. Cheryl Masters contemplates where to put it . 3. Going over junior mugs proves to be a very tedious job for Arlene johnson and Carol Marion. 4. The entire Annual staff works diligently as Cindy Poer gets a little extra ad- vice. 5. Dee Nicholson shows off the latest fashion in 6th pe- riod Annual. 6. Our fearless fsometimes fearlessj leader, editor- in-chief Teresa Cartwright. 7. This year's annual advisor Mr. Vin- cent Aleccia. 8.
