Girls' League has continued their tradition of ex- cellence. The girls have involved a large segment of the student body in activities such as New Student orientation in September, Sadie Hawkins, Date Dad, Hi Mom, a fashion show that involved the combined talents of Key Club, and sponsorship of the Student of the Month program, recognizing Ca- nyon Comanches for their contributions of time and talent to Canyon and the Community. The members of Girls' League are indeed unique, because of the understanding and care they devote to new students who enroll at Canyon. A Welcome to Newcomers committee has been organized, which is utilized extensively by the counseling staff, and which helps new students to become accli- mated to Canyon. The girls honored the faculty on May Day and had a sewice project in April. Girls' League is held in high regard by the faculty and students as a much needed sewice organiza- tion on campus.
