The hard part of their journey was just be- ginningp they now had to bring together people to fill the voids. Their journey took them to many different planets looking for just the right people. They first went to the planet of Sports to collect water polo players to fill the voids in the POOL. Their next stop was to the planet of students to get an overall selection of students dressed up for such events as Spirit Week. They picked the right people to fill the AMPHITHEATER, the GYM, QUAD, CAFETERIA, and the ENTIRE CAM- PUS. With the empty spaces being satis- factorily filled, they felt that they could con- tinue on to the next event they had planned I. Canyon's hustle and bustle begins to fill up the quad and the calendar. 2. Pep assemblies send Canyon's spirit sky-high. 3. Comanches get down to some serious munching in the cafeteria at lunch. 4. Blue crystal calm- ness is destroyed as water polo team takes to the pool. 5. Mass confusion takes over the quiet of the outside Am- phitheater during a spirit week event. 6. This year they decided that there would be three days of festivities during Spirit Week to remind the students that they were there to learn as well as have a good time. The days they selected were Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. On those days the themes were: mis- match day, character day, and sports day re- spectively. One day which was supposed to be a quiet day was interrupted by the spir- ited SENIOR class! Reflections of the mighty Roman empire of many moons ago, were seen everywhere. Everyone got involved which pleased the Comanche and his band of warriors. What pleased them even more was the spirit of the faculty members. They joined in the celebration of spirit week which concluded with the biggest show of spirit seen yet. The annual HOMECOMINC FOOTBALL game and the crowning of the queen of the year . . . t. Strange creatures can be found lurking on campus on Character Day. 2. Super Seniors show their winning spirit during their unofficial Toga Day. 3. A pink hibiscus blooms on campus untouched by spirit week activities. 4. Mr. Behn heads for the food at the Alumni Spirit Week Picnic. 5. Students oi all grades and characters gather down at the pool to root for each of their classes. 6. Se- niors Mike Walker, Sue Busse, and Randy Kunert help teammate Kathy Hancock put on her clothes in the wash race. 7. Colleen Williams laughs at students dressed up during spirit week. 8.
