I TA I I1IIlIl'I' twin IIDSIEC ' Starlight and Roses was the theme of the '78 Winter Formal. Because of District pres- sure to lower the cost of dances and policy against leaving the county, the dance was held in the jewel Court of the South Coast Plaza, which proved to be a pleasing loca- tion. With the band, Black Water Gold, 150 couples had no problems getting into the spacious, open atmosphere. The high- light of the dance was the crowning of the King Doug Price and Queen Charleen Les- cault. Most people enjoyed the dance and had no negative comments towards the band or the location, making both Black Water Gold and South Coast Plaza possi- bilities for future dances. 1.
