'Wm The Slopes Provide A Challenge nder The direcTion oT Senior Bob Murray, PresidenT of The Ski Club. The I979-I98O year was a big success. Four Trips were scheduled. Thanksgiving weekend, The Ski Club wenT To SalT Lake CiTy where The powder and skiing condiTions were excellenT. ChrisTmas was spenT in UTah. LaTer They wenT To Sunrise Ski ResorT where The blizzards chilled every- one's Toes and reddened Their noses. Then on To PurgaTory in Colorado during Rodeo week. A blasT was shared by Them all and, naTurally, The Ski Club was ecsTaTic. Money was a necessiTy and fund raisers were essenTial. such as selling energy saving lighT bulbs. Members paid Their way Tor Trips and many non- members were inviTed along. Dressed and ready To go. a Ski Club member walks ouT To hiT The slopes. Many auTomobiles geT sTuck aTTer a snow sTorm dumps snow on The moun- Tains during a ski Trip. Bob Murray. Ski Club President spends a loT oT Time planning fund-rais- ing ideas and skiing Trips.
