The more training we can receive through season play, the better. If the players gain experience now, they'll be ready for whatever happens in Varsity games, said one player. A JV team mem- ber disagreed. l don't think of our playing as just a prep for the big time--the Varsity. Our records are something to be proud of and we shouldn't be overlooked or forgot- ten. Shoot for the Goal Girls Basketball had become a popular sport. More people showed up at the games than ever before. Frosh girls finally had a chance to play, and were a big help to the J.V. team. They were in the development stage. Frosh and J.V. teams had a good solid program with lots of determination. Both teams worked hard to prove their skills and spirit. They got better as the year went on, and everyone learned more about sportsmanship and getting along as a team. The Varsity team was coached by Mrs. Gault, who gave them inspiration and friendship but the real importance was that the players had the determination and power to win, and girls basketball was given a new name. Starting new and long-lasting relationships was one of the main goals of the team. i 84fGirls Basketball
