In X . 1 From Registers to References Selling books, providing a place to study and keeping students' records in order were just a few of the services the library and bookstore had to offer. The library had many new magazines and books, and welcomed any books given as gifts. Head librarian Mrs. Yoder commented that the book loss was substantially lower with the book detector, but worried that many paperback books were still being lost. One student said, I noticed that registration procedures were very different this year. We went through something that was a lot like an assembly line to get our books and lockers. Many students wondered why they didn't receive their money immediately when they sold books back to the bookstore. Mrs. Yoder explained, Parents requested that the money be sent by mail in the case of sophomores and freshmen. All in all, it was a good season for books.
