C.D.0. on Top of Them All lt is said that wrestling is a sport that calls for everything an athlete has-all the strength he can muster plus a cool head to carry out orders that a coach calls to him from the side. lt's a last minute thing- you can't take your instruction book out there to help you decide what move to make, said one wrestler, and it's almost a test for your survival, your fight against get- ting beaten. CDO grapplers were not often beaten, and their record proved it. We don't always do the best in invitationals but in season competition, we're number one, said one member. CDO did everything they could to hold that top position, from lengthy practices to personal programs of weight training. Just how good a wrestler you'Il be depends entirely on the individual, explained one, you can really work at it or you can let it go. But there's only one way to win-the hard way. 108!Varsity Wrestling

c A. . - j Qi.. A X 2 Hitting It Up to the Top The volleyball teams had good seasons in the year of 78!79, according to their coaches. My team had a good season, they started out slow but got better as the season wore on, remarked the freshman coach, Miss Gault. The volleyball teams, frosh, junior varsity, and varsity, worked hard for good seasons and they got what they worked for. The frosh and junior var- sity teams both were victorious and the var- sity team made it to state. The coach of the junior varsity team, Mr. Siedl, commented, I feel that the players on my team are to be given more credit for their excellent season then I myself. In trying out for the teams, coaches tried to pick out the girls who had well rounded abilities so they could put the best team possible together. gl? si.. Volleyball!107 ,wa
