Dorados on the Run l think of track as a sport for just about anyone, says freshman John Klemendson. lt has so many different areas to offer. l l This was the feeling of many Junior Varsity track members. The events ranged from the 1 high jump, long jump to sprinting the 100 yard dash. The season started in late Janu- ary with long conditioning courses run everyday after school. The first meet was g held in March. One team member Qf fiiiil expressed his thoughts by saying, Track is a sport where it is not the fact of winning or losing but that you feel satisfied and know you tried your best. This attitude, shared by many other track members, explains the self confidence needed for track. With the coaching talents of Art Mangels the needed Q rrrlls 1 self confidence was given. Track was a sport filled with team work, individual goals and coaching leadership. 4- f fr. 1 .av-iq -'-.,,,,.-ani T1 I ,n 'L c TL' fa 1 viva gr ' v 11, ,, l ' -- if Picture 1, Jim Vargas and Kevin McClusky taking laps around the ' track.
