Teaching fundamentals of team sports and group participation was part of the students P. E. program. Exercise programs like our weight lifting and cross country running stress physical fitness. The students are taught playing and scoring rules, which enable them to play the games correctly. The teachers acquainted students with the basic skills, techniques and equipment necessary in P. E. courses. They added two new courses, which were fencing, and the new wet one, swimming. The pool is dedicated to Dennis Weaver. Because of the new regulations C.D.O. experienced co-ed classes on a wide basis this year. Not only were they fun, but they gave the students an opportunity to participate on an equal basis in certain sports. The teachers enjoyed watching their students putting forth as much effort as they could into their physical education programs.
