“' i' 'TI' i ' JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY ' September, 1943 found us ready to begin a long trip via airplane through a country called High School. We were a merry group of travelers, indeed. t Our first visit was to the Freshman state. After overcoming initiation, the first storm, which almost wrecked our plane, we continued on our journey. The A crew and passengers consisted of Elden Nye, Marvin Fry, Lerta Mosteller, Elaine Wine, and Ruth Shoemaker. Along with the bad things were a few good ones such as parties and dances to make our ship sail smoothly. We had to stop for fuel. To help pass the time away, occasional stops were made to let the boys play basketball. The Iunior-Senior girls enjoyed selling lunch after the games. At the beginning of the second semester, Lester Clark became a passenger In March Robert Kleinschmidt joined the recruits of the airplane, Harrold, After reaching the city of Junior-Senior Play, and discovering we were quaran- tined, we remained until we had dusted off our acting talents in Youth Comes Tripping. Following our shut-in days, we had a skip day and banquet. Then during a severe storm the plane crashed near the city, Senior, I 4
