The sophomore class did their best to heckle them off the campus, but imagine their amazement when they discovered them to be the freshmen class in costume. Outstanding among the year's social events was the freshmen skating party, held at the Oaks Rink in Portland on the seventeenth of Ianuary. The party was well attended, everyone was sorry when it came time to leave for home. To finish an unusually successful year, the freshmen chose Carol Kunze and Laura Widner to represent their class as princesses for the May day festival. Aufweidersehen was said at the annual Soph-Freshman class picnic in the closing days of the year.

After two days of tyrannical rule over the rooks the sophs considered themselves sufficiently avenged for their previous year's sufferings and made up with the freshmen at a party in the high school cafeteria. The class' big time of the year was their skating party held at the Oaks Rink in Portland. Numerous friends were invited, and the stamp of approval was placed on the Party by all who attended. Princesses chosen to represent the class in the May day festival were Phyllis Learfield and Phyllis Danielson.
