Midas OFFICERS SECOND SEMESTER Highlight of a successful year for the junior class was their presentation on May second of the class play Digging Up the Dirt with Grant Burden and Virginia Irwin playing the leading roles. The play, a three-act comedy, was exceptionally well presented. , Social events were numerous, but the one that will be remembered longest was the student body skate in which the juniors were very active. They were largely responsible for the organization of the affair and The Oaks Rink was practically taken over by Canby ior one evening. Iune Swan and Ellen Hanson were chosen as the junior class princesses for the May day festival. In keeping with tradition at Canby Union High School, the Iunior- Senior Picnic at Iantzen Beach in the closing days of school was an unforgettable occasion for all who attended. M Y .
