The team entered the debate tournament at Linfield College where it won four debates out of ll. ln the district deltates the .-Xfhrmative won from Milwankie and Iistaeada and lost to XVest Linn. Fern Gl'I'I711fl' 'l'Rlc.xsi'luaR . . ...,. .... l 'oltuzdn Stefani The Varsity C Club organized in l929. and composed of boys and girls who won awards in one or more school sports, has during its six years of existence played an important part in the atfairs of the school. The purpose of the club is to promote a feeling ol' eo-operation between the students and the faculty as well as to create more interest in all the school sports. This has been fulfilled to a large measure. Several parties and initiations were held during' the year. ln lleeemlper a banquet was prepared by the girls in honor of the football letternlen. Clarence Krueger was elected football captain for the '35 season. The banquet was followed by the annual basketball game between the bark-lield and the line.
