Moving In It all begins on that hot August Sunday. A sleepy campus is rudely awakened by students. Familiar choruses of Hey! ring through the air while suitcases packed to capacity are lugged up three flights of stairs. Innocent bystanders are drafted to haul stereos, plants, and other familiar paraphernalia into the dorm. Gradually, cars once crammed to the max begin to empty as dorm rooms become more and more cluttered. Blaring stereos announce the arrival of more students and signal the departure of family members. Now comes the chore of arranging and rearranging clothes that never fit as neatly in the drawers as they did in the suitcase, sticking and resticking p osters that refuse to stay stuck, hammering and rehammering nails that always become bent. But in most cases, boxes are pushed to one side and suitcases are left open while the search begins for both new and old friends.

After finally making it to the top as seniors in high school, the newest kids in Campbell Town roll into Buies Creek for a taste of what the real thing will be like. Orientation — A hot, sticky weekend in Buies Creek! Bewildered, tiny faces peeking to uncover the mystery. They come from everywhere to discover what ' s so different about Campbell University; the campus, prospective classes, new friends, and an introduction to college life. They are swished in by the hundreds to meet professors, spend their first night in a dorm, shake hands with the dignitaries, and get a little insight into social life at the Disco. Mixed emotions play games with the inexperienced newcomers. Anxiety of what university life is like, fear of how to cope, worry of what to do to be accepted, and the ecstasy of embarking upon the new adventurous life that awaits, all combine to create a glorious feeling. Finally, this two-day excursion allows the newest additions to the Student Body an opportunity to survey their new home and get into the Campbell Life!
