This year she played in every game but the last Rozet and Buf- falo games, going to Rozet, Moorcroft, and Newcastle with the team. Ruth Parks for three years guard, has played in every game this year. She will receive her third letter this year. Mildred Day, captain this year, has had three years of basketball and has played jumping center. Mildred played in every game this year. She will receive her third letter this year. Glenneda McPherson has made a very good little forward, playing in nearly every game and taking every trip with the team. Glen will receive her third letter this year. Ollie Wright has played four years as forward. She has played in all the games but the last Rozet and Buffalo games. She went to Rozet, Moorcroft and Newcastle with the team. She will receive her fourth letter this year. Marjorie Sutherland receives her second letter this year. She has done very good work as a forward the past two years. Nellie Vasey who we have seen playing guard for two years has played in every game and took every trip with the team this year. Doris Sutherland has played two years as forward. She went to Rozet and Moorcroft with the team this year. Wilma Vasey, though small, has proved to be an excellent guard. She will receive her first letter this year. Mildred Brough is playing guard. She went to Rozet and Moor- croft, and Buffalo with the team. She will receive her first letter this year. Vivian Sutherland is not so large but very good when she is playing. She found that to be a forward suited her the best. She went to Rozet, Moorcroft, and Buffalo with the team this year and will receive her first letter this year. We find all of these girls not only good in basketball but also in their shhool work. They are interested in other things that are happen- ing around school and try to make things worth while. These girls taken all together, had a very successful season this year loosing only one game. A great deal of this success is due to their coach, Miss Callaham, who trained with the girls and showed much interest in them. There are four clever letter girls for the basketball season 1927 and 1928. Other girls from the hrst squad got in games but not enough quarters to win their letter. The school is proud of all of these girls for the excellent sportsmanship, clean playing, and good spirit they dis- played. Pure llvr! I ge 44 Z,

C. ll. S. had eight games of basketball this year all of which proved to be fast and interesting. Probably one of the most interesting games was the Newcastle game here. The Newcastle team is one of the fastest teams in this corner of the state. Gillette won by a score of Z3 to Zl. Buffalo has a girl's team which Gillette played, they were a good team, and showed excellent sportsmanship. For at Buffalo Calthough we beat themj we re- ceived the best kind of attention. Q Moorcroft and Rozet were not as fast games as the other two, but our girls had to work for what they got. Page Tlvirfy-six zu , Kfxiffi c Z . r N --
