The following officers were elected: Sponsor, Nlr. Adair, President, Alvis Lane, Secretary, William Emmackg Treasurer, Vivian Sutherland, Reporter, Virgie Adkins. lt was then that we chose our colors of blue and gold. We did not have a very hard time our first year, because we were not green like most freshmen. We proved to be a smart class by winning several essays: second in the Lincoln Essay, first in Wyoming for the meat essayg both first and second in Campbell County in the brick essay. We can also say that we were well represented in many of the activities and clubs of the school. ln the year of l927 we entered as Sophomores with an enrollment of around fifty. We were indeed proud to be Sophomores. The officers elected were: lVlr. Renneke, Sponsor, Ava Dooley, President, Vivian Sutherland, Vice-President, Rocine Garrett, Secretary-Treasurer, and Wilma Vasey, Reporter. This year we had some Sophomores on both the boys and girls basketball teams, and also on the football team. Again we were victorious in the essay contests, winning hrst, second, and honorable mention in the Lincoln Essay contests and hrst in the essay on Wyoming, What will we be when we are Seniors? When we entered C. C. H. S. as Freshmen, we numbered about seventy-two. We elected Mr. Fitch sponsor and staged some very successful parties during our Freshmen year. But time Waits for no one, not even Freshmen, and soon we were entering school as Sophomores. The hrst thing We did was to elect Miss Holtz sponsor and buy our banner. The outstanding event was the inter-class tournament. The boys carried off third prize and the girls second place. Turn the page to '27 and 'Z8. Miss Callaham is our sponsor. We gave the play The Whole Town's Talking as our class play, and everyone said it was the best ever given by any class. The boys again took third place in the tournament and the girls missed first place by one point. In closing our history, we wish to say: Look for the 1929 Annual. '-SIX s +4 lib 44 1..i.... ....T

We have a Freshman boy on both the football and basketball teams. We also have several of our membesr in the high school band. Two Freshmen will enter the State contests at Laramie, one for Novice Typing and one with the basketball team. At the nrst of the term we elected Mr. Beatty as our sponsor, Frank Butler, Presidentg Mayme Young, Vice-President, T. D. Moore, Secretary, Walter Scott, Treasurer, and LeRoy Christy, Class Reporter. Since then, we have had several members of our class on the honor roll. We wish to thank Mr. Morgan and the faculty for as- sisting us in our nrst year of high school life, and we know that we will l10t be as green next year as we were this year. Page Twenty-eight kt L+'
