Student board, C.A.C. represent student body. e represent the views of the student body to the Board of Education, claimed Linda Tveidt. Linda served as the junior representative to the Board of Education. Bill Adair, senior re- presentative, commented further, it is important because too often adults tend to make policies concerning students without consulting the stu- dents. Both Linda and Bill had to attend regu- lar meetings throughout the school year. C.A.C. stands for the Citizens Advisory Coun- cil and Danny Wally Guido served as the stu- dent representative from Camelback. The duties of his position required that he attend local as well as district meetings each month. Both of the Student Board Representatives and the Citizens Advisory Council representatives were elected into office by the student body. One adult mem- ber also represented Camelback at the district C.A.C. meetings, 81 this year's representative and local chapter president was Richard Flores. Danny Guido serves as C.A.C. Editors attend 1979 workshop our editors on the Shield staff attended a publication workshop in Colorado this past summer. The workshop proved to be a success, for when they returned, each was able to present fresh ideas in the areas of theme development, layout and graphics. When these principles were applied to the 1980 Shield the results were the following: a strong sense of theme Qie. the Spartanl, an artistic form of layout used in the opening section and a new touch of colored graphics. The funding for the workshop was made available through the Student Senate. 28 SHIELD STAFF 3 Carol Flores ister-in-Chief tl I JPKT'-1?
