Band concerts, tournaments, during Februar ach year the wind symphony has a winter band concert and this year two celebrated guests conducted the band, Mr. Les Felten and Mr. Russ Capri. Several hundred students took the free enterprise test on Tuesday, Feb- ruary 21. Those students who passed were not required to take free enter- prise as seniors. Wrestling divisional tournament along with softball, Varsity and l.V. basketball tournaments were held during the month of Febuary. State wrestling and basketball tournaments were also held. Mr. Trexler leads forensic team to victory The forensic team attended the District Tournament in Chandler and swept the tournament decisively. The team especially excelled in oral interpretation and debate. Other fine arts were busy at CBHS during Marsh. Three programs were pre- sented by intermediate and advanced dramag and by the Music Depart- ment. Rehearsals for the Spring Production, The Man Who Came To Dinner , were directed by Ms. Ann Steele. Valley eighth graders were intro- duced to CBHS by attending the annual Basketball on the 16th. Money raised from the Basketball went to the Sophomore and Freshman class treasuries. 30 MARCH ACTIVITIES Wayne Benner and Ronald Rich practice half-time show performance lor band competition in April. Tia Liepack and Margy Gibbons try-out lor the Spring Drama Production.
