Girls vs. boys in Homecoming week activities B attle of the sexes was the theme for Homecoming '77, Enthusiastic students competed in events such as three-legged races, banana split eating contest, where girls ate banana splits off the boys faces, potato sack races, slave auctioningg and afro judging. Sharon Wilson and Tom Schneider were chosen as Homecoming Royality with Kathy Dooley, Bart Katz, Holly Corbin, Brian Mountioy, Cynthia Soto, and Dave McChesney as attendents. For the first time, the student body worked together to build a Homecoming float. The float was made of orange and blue crepe paper, shaped into a Spartan Head. Escorted by Marvin Schneider, Sharon Wilson accepts her Homecoming crown, while King Tom Schneider listens to second quarter strategy. 20 OCTOBER ACTIVITIES Connie Everett and mascot Scott Arthur pose for Shield Photographer. Coach Ernie Hawkins nervously eats a lolli- pop as the Spartan offense trys to gain yard- age.
