School begins with assemblies, more students pirit lines, pep rallies, and a new club cheering from the 50 yard line started the 3000 plus student body off with a new boost in spirit. Ms. Doris Clyne, aided by the cheer line, formed the Spirit Club. Members wore numbered shirts, designed posters and waved spirit rags. At the first tri-assembly all 77-78 Spartan teams were introducedg and the Pom and Flag lines performed dance routines. The mascots Kathy T .1 L Karis and Scott Arthur were introduced as Mr. and Ms. Clyde S. 5 t ' 'ii Cspunkyb Spartan. The couple attended all Spartan events where they helped to lead cheers.
