Music dept. sweeps state Music Festival t the State Solo and Ensemble Festival, held january 29 at Marcos de Niza High School, the CBHS music department was awarded more gold medals and superior ratings than any other school in its region. Over thirty CBHS musicians performed. Auditions for the regional band, choir, and orchestra were held on the same day. Over twenty CBHS musi- cians were successful in their attempts to become participants in either regional band, choir, or orchestra. Following semester exams on janu- ary 25 and 26, first semester con- cluded. ' ost in the Cit ' Choir's musical drama oncert Choir presented Lost in the City, a musical melodrama, February 22, 24, in the new choir facilities at the south end of campus. Other performances in February included Orchesis' modern dance concert, and the regional music con- certs. Several hundred students took the Free Enterprise test on February 16. Those who passed were not required to take Free Enterprise as seniors. Athletic activities in February included basketball, wrestling, and tennis.
