School year starts with classes, assemblies, testing, homerooms pproximately 2,847 students returned to classes on September seventh, beginning the new school year. Two assemblies were held exclu- sively for freshmen: the Freshman Assembly, where candidates for Freshman Class offices campaigned, and the Freshman Orientation Assembly, where representatives from campus organizations informed freshmen about extra-curricular activities atCBl-IS. Seniors and freshmen were tested on their knowledge in English, Math, Science and Social Studies on the mornings of September 28 and 29. Sophomores and juniors were excused from classes. Second hour classes became homerooms on September 14, home- room senators were elected at that time. Freshman Danny Moriarity checks the kiosk for information on upcoming campus events.
