DEDICATION KWS dedicate this book to a man who has been associated with year- books ever since he came to Phoenix more than a decade ago. Camelback salutes him as the founder of the SHIELD. It was under his enthusiastic leadership that guided the SHIELD through its first six years of success- ful publication. He has been recognized as one of the leading yearbook sponsors in the state. For two years he served as president of the Arizona lnterscho- Iastic Press Association. He has been a regular instructor on the staff of the annual Publications Workshop at Arizona State College, Flagstaff. Year after year, he has lectured at conventions on photography and yearbook production. Mr. Garrett began his teaching career in Texas when only l7 years old. The years in between have convinced him that teaching is the best work of life. Please accept this small token of our esteem not only for service to Camel- back but for all the students you have taught, Mr. H. D. Garrett
