Many boys and girls take a second look in this mirror before starting classes, hut, do they really know the significance of this room and the work that is done by its committees and oflicers. Almost all student activities focus around Student Government, some of which are the Social Committee, Insignia Committee, Welfare Committee, the Assembly Program Committee, traffic and the ushers. These committees work to better things for the students by sending get well and sympathy cards, holding dances, put- ting on assembly programs, selling school ein- blems, keeping the traffic flowing smoothly through the halls and ushering people to their seats at evening affairs. Student Government also tries to make the student's stay in C.H.S. a pleasant one by trying to put useful suggestions into action if all the students are benefitted by these suggestions. Last year the classes participated in a student day, which was made possible by the help of Student Government. This year this organiza- tion accomplished many achievements for the student body.
