Baseball is his favorite sport, where his team- work and heavy batting average makes him a valuable asset. Bob, a versatile player, unfortunately received a leg iniury early in the season which prevented him from participating for the fall, sixty minutes required for football games. Besides being com- petent to play either the end, tackle, or guard positions, he shows much skill as a punter and place-kicker. Recently in a kicking tournament he placed second, kicking a field goal from about the fortv-vard line. He graduates in lune as a student in the Col- lege Preparatory course, and expects to continue his education after graduation but as yet he is undecided which college he will enter. XVe shall all miss him. Good luck to you, Bob. Flay health, happiness, and success be yoursl WlI,I,I.-XM DENUF 15? The cl0I1l'l't'l' wasn't advertising auto parts when it spoke of the spark plug of Camden High's Purple Avalanche. This particular spark plug was Bill Denof, Camden's flashy quarterback. Billy holds down a position on almost every team in the school, namely football, basketball, and baseball. Last season he was the only Camden High player who was selected as a regular on the All-City Basketball Team. After graduating in lanuary from Cam- den High, he intends to matriculate at Yvil- liam and Nlary College where, doubtless, his athletic career will be as brilliant as here. Go to it, Bill ---the whole school's for youl DURUTHY SCHOELL KOPF f6j Dot will be long remembered for the markable way in which she presented The Romantic Age in the finals of the Public Speaking Contest. After seeing that performance and without taking into consideration her other qualities we venture to predict, in all sincerity, that she will become a well- known actress. Besides her dramatic talent, Dot has executive ability for she is leader of her home room and a very active Tri Hi member. After she graduates in lune in the College Preparatory course, Dot', intends to enter Bucknell University to study dramatics. XVlLLlA.Wl ROPER C7j Popular 'tBill Roper has gained the admiration and friendship of all his fellow students. As class treasurer he aims to see the members of his class on .Alonday morning, for when ques- tioned regarding his activities he made this statement: Blonday is the best day to collect dues: when Friday arrives, l feel like an unemployed banker. Besides successfully and capably fulfilling his duties as an executive he has further proven his ability as a member of Student Government. Being a member of the varsity track team is not the only honor bestowed upon this amiable lad, as he is also a member of the varsity football squad. and a member of the literary staff of the Purple and Gold. After graduation in lanuary, he hopes to study nautical engineering at .xlassachusetts lnstitute of Tech- nology or Georgetown University. HENRll'fl'TA .WCCAUSLAND CSD Henny H is one of those people who is able to participate in a variety of activities and do good work in each. She is a very capable assistant editor of the RECORD and has been chosen to be a member of the Camden High Chapter of Quill and Scroll. She is a member of the Purple and Gold Com- mittee, is very active in Student Gov- ernment, and being athletically in- clined, a member of the Varsity hockey team. She also swims, enioying natatorial sport more than any other. To top all her activities, Henny also ranks high scholastically. This versatile miss's chief aspira- tion is to become a laboratory tech- nician and Bucknell University is to be her Alma Slater. Page Sevente Ch
