P L I N S jzznette Fogle, jackie Collins and Publications, easy? Many long, hard hours are re- quired of the staff to put together the Conifer. Students who work hard, show responsibility and de- dication and concern for C.H.S. are the ones needed to put together the year- book. The Conifer Staff had to meet an early deadline authorized by Hurley Print- ing Company. To begin the year staff workers had to learn many things. They learned how to lay out pages, how to use the cameras and the equipment necessary in developing them, and how to use the tools associated with the other tasks. The motto of our class is, A staff that works to- gether, stays together. The Publications class al- so sponsored the Powder Puff Football Game. To realize just how much effort these people put into the yearbook, one would have to participate in this activity. e l Vanessa Kelly are a few Publica- tion members that sit during a tornada warning. fifff, Beth 'Yaksic-Editor, Roxanne Nevels-Business Manager, Lisa Harrell-Activity Chairman Janette Fogle-Secretary. COUNCILZ WORKS V E RY HAR D Student Council sponsors the Homecoming festivities every year. The students manage and finance the production. This year, Homecoming was a great success, thanks to the hard work of the Student Council members. The biggest working pro- ject for the Council is the sale of school day pictures. This involved several mem- bers who helped distribute and identify them. The Council is working on get- ting more assemblies and sponsored the Arkansas Re- pertory Theater in a spring perfomnnce. Early in the year, the Student Council held an ap- preciation party for the tea- chers. They presented them with a Microwave Oven for the Teachers Lounge. Mrs. Arnold, the sponsor af- firmed that the year had been very successful for the Student Council.
