BANn:we had it ALL The Marching Band had an especially good season with Luther Armstrong and Kim Smith as drum majors. Band members practiced af- ter school every evening in preparation for all football games, at home and away, marching contests, pep as- semblies, and parades. They attended two March- ing Contests and received a two rating at both Warren and Monticello. This year's officers are Luther Armstrong, band captain, Lori Brown, first lieutenant, Valorie Mitchell, second lieutenant, Susie Hamilton and Lori Brown, librarians, and Rudy Gal- bert, Tim Green Gary les- ter, David Maddox, joe Maddox, and Lonnie Mur- ray were quatermasters. The quartermasters are in charge of loading, unload- ing, and taking equipment back to the buses, setting up chairs and stands for re- hearsels, keeping the band hall clear, and many other duties that keep the organi- zation running smoothly. Angela Beavers can find time to practice before band. Not even rollers prevent Joycelyr Hill from coming to band practice.
