It's always fun to work with quality Coaches and a group of quality sopho- mores like we had this year, Hicks said. The team had a fairly good start winning seven of the first ten games. However, after juan Hayes was injured in jan- uary, the team suffered a series of losses. When Hayes returned in February, the team finish- ed fourth in the confer- ence. The 15 players who fi- nished the season should be commended for going through a year where they were pushed every single day and stayed with it, the Coach said. Most of the team leader- ship came from senior Edward Williams, whous fi- nished the season as the leading scorer and re- bounder. Williams was named to the All-District team.
