For every mood there is a season, and our season was the entire school year. We were tempted to set our goals high and then go for it. We all took a giant step forward in the area of achievements. We laughed, cried and loved our way through homework, tests, activi- ties, athletics and friend- ships which make a school year so satisfying. A It was not a perfect year. We had our ups and downs, but the ups made us grateful for the things we were tempted to ac- complish, and the downs made us stronger to face the future. Although the end of the school year brought an end to a major segment in the lives of seniors, we were tempted, to pause in tribute to Camden High School, before going on to all the exciting and won- derful things in store for us.

getting ready for oraduaiion .... As seniors drew closer to graduation, most anxiously awaited the time when they would venture out on their own. It was getting time to leave the underclassmen, dances, football games, and report card and step out into the adult world as a new man or woman. C.H.S. seniors were pre- pared for graduation. Many participated in a Senior countdown during the lunch periods each day. College visitation was also a part of graduation Gordon Hale measures Johnnie Haynie QC, and gown. preparation. Seniors would take approved day off from school and visit the college of his choice. Ordering announce- ments and caps and gowns was also a part of getting ready for that big day. In that purchase they also bought Class Keys, Memory Books, and Thank You Notes. One of the most irnpor- tant necessities for gradu- ation was making the grade. Many seniors were not straight A students. And some may have to at- tend summer classes to get their other credits. One senior in particular stated I thought my senior year was going to be easy, but I see I had to work hard at my classes and participate in more activities. Another state, I think this year was the best ever. No doubt about itg the Class of 'K83 made Cam- den Senior High School what it is today and we are proud to say We were tempted to achieve and we made it.
