There Wos Ponrher Mog ic 23x::0s.:fa3f..20?20?.fS.f5iz1e In The Air... PANTHQERS CAN DO MAGIC, the theme for the 1982 Homecoming Festivi- ties seemed to be appro- priate in every way. Not only was there magic in the air for a week, there was fun and excitement in everything that happened. After the court was nomi- nated and announced, everything seemed to fly b . yFloat building until all hours of the night was the event that just about every- one found to be fun as everyone pitched in to stuff, build, design, or just plain watch a few boards and a trailer be transformed into a magical creation. The Junior class won the float contest, but every float was a masterpiece to the class that built it. As everyone nervously a- waited a date to the dance and game, the activities just didn't seem to stop. The FBLA once again sold cor sages and the Student Council rushed around to decorate and prepare for the Assembly and dance. After the assembly that presented the court and crowned the queen, just a bout everyone went to the clowns, and smiles seemed parade where floats abundant. Not only were the festivi- ties fun, but the Panthers played a great game and went on to win with the score 9-0. But, as all good things must end, so did Home- coming and everyone was a little sad to put away their hammers and haul their floats away. And even though it involved a lot of hard work and time, Home- coming 1982 was a magical event that no one will ever forget. Once again FBLA made money by selling homecoming corsages.
