WISMAN Teacher, principal, superintendent, mail carrier, bus driver, friend Elgie Jim Wisman was born May 14, 1905, graduated from Pioneer High School in 1924, and Western Michigan University in 1932. He worked in the public schools of Hillsdale County for ten years as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. In 1938 he left the school room to accept an appointment as rural mail carrier out of Camden, Michigan. Jim, still desiring to maintain contact with the students, drove bus for the Camden-Frontier School for 20 years. He was a member of the Camden Methodist Church, the Camden Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, and was a charter member of the Camden Lions Club. In his memory, we the class of 1965, proudly and respectfully dedicate this 1965 Redskin to ELGIE E. WISMAN 7 I APPRECIATIO The Senior Class of 1965 would like to express our apprecia- tion to our Advisors, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Eby. We will always remember the work it takes to make a Christmas Dance and a Prom a success and also the class parties and the fun we had having them at your home. As the years fly on, each of us will treasure our high school memories, thank you, for making them complete. 8 ADMINISTRATION SUPERINTENDENT V-,ax ., M- ' c i if Q, wwgw M H A ,m n1aws,, ff: ,Q-,style-':,..nff .:, 5 , I T12 A 1, H, A WW' , , PRI CIP L MR. This being our last will and testament do sadly depart with all of our long sought treasures to the Senior Class of 1966. Diane Kirkingburg CLASS PRGPHECY The years have flown by and it seems impossible that it's 1985, but it is and I am still Executive Secretary to the President of Ypsilanti State Hospital. One day as I was going over my records a woman came charging into my office and started yelling, I just can't make up my mind. Much to my surprise, I noticed it was my old classmate, Margaret Dominy. I asked her what the trouble was and she said since she had a great job at Western, - all the men wanted her. Well, she and I started talking about our other classmates and she told me that Carolyn Cole has finally worked her way up to scrub lady of Stafford's Greenhouse. She also said that Char- les Watkins, Dale Callaway, and Dick Turner had built an engine and called it the Gasser . I told Margaret that I read about Onalee Miller in the paper. It seemed that she had been baby sitting but was arrested after she had been sitting on the babies a few hours. John Adams, Darrell Wasnich and Jim Spieth are busy trying to keep Elizabeth Taylor from applying for British citizenship. Well, Margaret guessed that Julia Hukill had finally got- ten to Atlantic City for the Miss America Pageant and she was right. Only Julia just works as a waitress in the cafeteria. I hope she keeps trying though. Karen Kukhahn and Sidney Michael joined the Peace Corps and are working as missionaries in Africa. It seems that they have written a book entitled, How to Get Where You're Going. She said Max Moore had devoted his entire life to being a Monk. He has built himself a monastery at Devils Kettle and is enjoying himself immensely. Patsy Clark has gone sour, said Margaret, since her bus- iness, Gigg1e now, Pay later had gone bankrupt. I do hope she cheers up. I told Margaret that Chuck Ten- Broeck is Vice President of a glue factory in California and they say he's really stuck on his job. Linda Evers and Walter Shiffler have a very interesting job. They teach the Jerk to high society people at Arthur Murray's Dance Studio. I heard that our great mathematician, Jerry DeVolder had finally gotten to the top. The top of the box, I mean. He 's the new Post-Toasties Raisin Counter. She said that Joyce Rigelman and Diane Green had become quite big game hunters. Joyce just shot her 10th elephant and Diane captured Tony the Tiger . Tim Smith, who was so big and husky, has become Dr. Timothy Smith, Head Obstetrician for the Smith Mater- nity Hospital in Frontier, Michigan. I hear Ruth Hein Brando is enjoying her acting career ever since she was discovered by Marlon. She and Marlon just finished a picture together called Don't Kiss Anyone Under the Apple Tree Unless You 're Kissing Me . Janice Lautermilch and Lou Callaway are co-owners of the exclusive Poodle Parlor in New York City. They specialize in eye coloring and trimming eyelashes. David Kuster has become a great scientist because of his formula for making straight hair. He never did like his curly hair. Mar garet told me that Holly Haynes is water boy for the New York Yankees and Margie Troxell is Manager. Don and Elwood White have taken the place of the Everly Brothers and have a record called, l Want to Hold Your Foot . Remember, shy quiet, Diane Kirkingburg? She's in Pakistan trying to figure out how a person could be most comfortable riding a camel. Margaret said Dick Salyer was recently ordained Pope Paul XXIV. Sharon Ebaugh has flown to Dark Africa. She 's conducting an experiment to see if she can capture an elephant with a mousetrap and how it will react if she succeeds. Gene Frurh has a job with Kelloggs. He's the new Sugar Pops Pete with Honey Coating Action. Sandy Hinkle and Elaine Brown each have their own oil well in Frontier and are making millions. Margaret said that Larry Ort is the new manager of the Rockette'Dancers in New York City and Cheryl Shaffer and Marcia Shiffler are lighting technicians. Kay Baker is in Japan teaching Judo to men so they can protect themselves against women. Cathy Howell is a great politician now. She's running for Governor from the state of California. Ned White has turned hobo. He got tired of having so much money so now he sleeps in boxcars. Jerry Spangler is the great Home Ec. teacher at C-F and Roger Stuchell is the head cook. I hear the food 's awful. Darlene Fowler is in Siberia. She was sent by the U.S. Government to see if a person could survive and what possibilities there were to build a man-made lake. Judy Person is married now and has her own little football team, all boys, David Huss is president of the Great Bubble Gum Company. Well by then it was getting late and Margaret had to leave. We said good-by and promised to see each other soon. Just as I turned an old, old, couple went merrily skipping down the hall and strangely enough they resembled our poor, exhausted advisors, the Ebys. I knew then it was time for me to get back to work.
