Class Prophecy A few weeks ago as I was flying back to my coconut farm in Hawaii, I chanced to meet on the plane my old classmate, Sharladean Shroats, who is a famous MGM dance instructor. Naturally, we discussed our classmates of 1957 and this is what we discovered they were doing. Janice Miller was elected Mother of the Campus at the University of Michigan. She has five boys. We learned that Janet Higley is a hair stylist and.where at, Michigan State, of course. Betty Buehrer is a charming secretary at the Air Force Base in Texas. Sarah Waters is Supervisor of Nurses at the Hills- dale Community Hospital. Sondra Mull and Marilyn Walker are very successful comedians on T.V. Bob Millsap has recently joined the Foreign Legion. Ray Bristow, is a famous senator in Washington. This couldn't be the Ray we knew. Lyle Clevenger, has finally won his 50th gear-grinder cup at the Indianapolis Speedway. James Dryer and Larry Beem are co-owners of acactus farm in Arizona, of what value is a cactus farm, boys? Judy Barr, is now teaching English and History back at dear ole' C.F.H.S. I heard recently that Dick Bryer has just been elected Secretary of the Treasury. No doubt due to his past experience at ole' C.F.H.S. Verla Strouse is busy painting scenery for the Arthur Godfrey Show. Judy Stickney is still un- married and making her fortune running a boarding house for bachelors. Sharladean told me that Dean Harvey has a new job, that of winding the Court House clock in Hills- dale. She also told me that Dale Marks has a new profession being head judge at the Miss America Con- test. David Michael has just been elected local truant officer. John Barrett recently received the title of World Champion Pool Player. Another bit of news was that while attempting to swim across the Eng- lish Channel, Robert Troop was swallowed by a whale, the whale died, too. It really surprised me to learn that Rosemary Haskins is singing in The Lst Frontier nigh club in Las Vegas, and latest word is that Mary Masters has developed a new formula for preventing baldness on men. James Wisman has become a photographer of babies. Knowing Jim I can't say what is meant by the word babies . Speaking of babies, it seems Jean Ash was recently a little confused, she had jobs as a baby sitter, but was fired after she sat on the babies a few hours. The scene now shifts ,to Emma Black, she has become a famous woman politician. l knew her gift of talking would take her places. Karen Edinger continued her Chemistry work and invented a solution to remove spots from the leopards in the zoos of our nation. Looking through a newspaper, we find that James Crow has just won an oscar for his movie, The Buz- zard . Florence Pearce was recently made captain of the cheerleaders down at West Point. Larry Blount, became the owner of a large glue factory, and he's really stuck on his job. Phil Arm- strong, became a chicken farmer, he paints stripes on stones so he can have barred rocks . I told Sharladean that Carolyn Null was working for me. She climbs the trees and picks the coconuts. Patsy Boyt has a life time job writing the T.V. stories for Rin Tin Tin. I also heard that Nancy Hutchins recently swam over Nigara Falls and floated across the English Channel. These are some that really interested me. Ted Warfield, had become a well known filibuster in Con- gress. Kenneth Vincent, recently became coach of a gir1's traveling basketball team, and Bob Kast has taken over Elvis Presley's place in the entertainment world. I-le drives cadillacs, too. We heard that Alda Burch is happily married and now living in Northem Michigan. Loyd Burger be- came President of a Jelly Bean Factory. He started out by counting the jelly beans. Now as my plane lands in Hawaii, I sincerely wish the class of 57 the best of luck in all their var- ious professions. Respectfully submitted, Linda Eachues 12 Class Will We, the class of 1957, in town of Camden-Frontier, the county of Hillsdale, and the state of Michigan, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby will and bequeath all our cherished and carefully nurtured abilities, and our priceless incomparable possessions to such members of the Junior Class as have demonstrated their great need for them. You have been shown through the building, have met its students and teachers, and have become acquainted with its clubs and activities. We hope that this will lead to a better understanding and appreciation of the schoo1's role in the community. The Seniors of '57 say farewell and hope that the 1957 Redskin will bring back pleasant memories of Camden-Frontier, this summer and in future years. 80 HE 1 .
