To you, our underclassmen, we, the Senior Class, leave our dog eared boolc, chewed up magazines, initialed tables, chairs with partially chewed gum attached, and all our dear, beloved teachers- including our two nerve-racked advisors. Velma Jagger Class Prophecy Last night while attending Ed Sullivan's Toast of the Town, in New York City, I was surprised to find the seat next to me occupied by my old classmate joe St. John. joe informed me that he is in charge of a large business firm in New York. During the show we talked about our old class of 1955 and wondered what the old gang was doing. To our surprise the first number was a lyric soprano from the Metropolitan opera, Marlene Peter. After this number Ed introduced the following celebrities in the audience, M. G. M. dancing star, Verda Hinlde and General Mac Mace Marvin who has just returned from the first successful trip to Mars in his Space Ship. With him was the renouned scientist Dr. Robert Dillion, B. S. 3 M. S. 5 Ph. D. who had accom- panied him, When the time came for the commercial, Nancy Wiles told all the magnificeint features of the 1975 Lincoln. Nancy has replaced Julia Meade. Some of the other celebrities were two Olympic stars who had just won back the Davis Cup, jim Broughman and Fred Johnston. Another number on the program was the Jagger sisters who sang their hit record, Sisters. During the Mercury commercial Ed Sullivan introduced one of the toughest Mercury test-drivers, larry Harmon, who had just returned from the Pan-American road race. The star performance of the evening was a teeter board act by the Hephineers led by the star R. M. Heph- ner, and his able companions la Vern Gary, Larry Favorite, and larry Hickman. Leaving the performance that evening we met Lilah Shiffler who informed us she worked with the Jackie Gleason show selling 3 lbs. wedges of Mcharacti's Machoronie cheese. To complete the evening, Joe and I went to the Stork Club and discovered Mary Bailey working as hat check girl. While here whom should we meet but the peanut king, Francis Black, who had flown in from New Orleans with his beautiful wife-the fifth. Here we also met the noted missionary, Mary Reed, and her secretary, Shirley Makemson just returning from Africa. What they were doing at the Stork Club I'll never know! While discussing the remaining members of our class I learned that Roger Fouts was governor of Michigan and leader of the new Progressive Party. His motto is All for one and that one me. David Hutchins is owner and manager of the Eat and Run Restaurant in Montgomery. Lyle Hukill, man of the soil, owned one of the largest dairy farms in Hillsdale County. Rosemarie Rawlins and jane Copeland are teaching school at our old Alma Mater, Jane handling the Home Ed. department, and Rosemarie the Phys. Ed. Shirley Green and Shirley Rigelman had each married Handsome farmer boys. Norma Deepe is supervisor of the nursing staff at the Hillsdale Community Health Center. My evening turned out to be quite exciting and as we parted, Joe invited me to visit him at his Long Island home on my next trip to the city.
